Foundry
Edge AI for the Real-World¶
Where your compute lives with you, not in someone else’s cloud.
The Lab0 AI Foundry is a multi-floor edge compute factory that brings AI right to the places it’s needed most — "On Site" farms, greenhouses, shops, breweries, plants, and remote facilities — and keeps it running even when the wider internet disappears.
At the core is a Reticulum-powered WAN fabric that ties everything together east–west, from the network edge down to bare metal. Each “floor” of the Foundry is a dedicated layer of compute, all wired into the same resilient mesh so workloads can move, scale, and fail over without depending on a central cloud.
LAB0 AI Foundry Use Cases¶
CPU Compute Floor — The Application¶
This is where day-to-day work happens. Web applications, APIs, dashboards, sensors, databases, message queues, and automation runtimes run on a hardened CPU layer tuned for reliability and low latency. From greenhouse telemetry to brewery control panels, this floor keeps operations online and responsive.
GPU Compute Floor — The AI Workshop¶
Here we train and refine intelligence. Detailed business AI models are trained on our private edge Blackwell GPU cluster using real-world data on infrastructure you control. Once models are dialed in, we quantize and compress them so they can run efficiently on your own edge nodes — no permanent dependency on our cluster, no hidden cloud bill.
API / MCP Floor¶
This is where everything meets the physical world. Edge nodes combine CPU + GPU workloads to run software, talk to hardware, and orchestrate automation directly on the local network. Data stays on-prem; the public internet becomes an optional convenience, not a requirement.
Edge Compute Floor¶
The Edge Compute Floor is where LAB0 leaves the rack and LANs on-site. Each green hexagon represents an edge compute node installed at your greenhouse, plant, or facility. These nodes run your local apps, automation (like EnkiOS / Agrobotics), and AI inference right next to the pumps, sensors, and cameras that matter.
Reticulum MANET Floor¶
The Reticulum MANET Floor is the mesh nervous system that links every LAB0 site together. Instead of a single VPN or leased line, we use the Reticulum network to build a self-healing MANET across edge compute nodes like farms, plants, greenhouses, and mobile units. Each edge node is a router, forwarding encrypted traffic over whatever links are available: Wi-Fi, Ethernet, long-range radio, or tunnel. Routes are automatic, there’s no central controller to fail, and new nodes simply join the mesh and announce themselves. The result is a resilient, zero-trust backbone that keeps telemetry, control, and AI tools flowing across the entire Foundry.
You plug into a mature AI Foundry wired for edge-first, privacy-first operations — then we customize it to fit your environment, your constraints, and your definition of uptime.
